Washington, D.C. – United States Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), yesterday raised concerns regarding adequate signage for Department of Veterans Affairs facilities along Arizona’s roadways in a letter sent to Arizona Department of Transportation Dir. John Halikowski. Veterans throughout Arizona alerted Flake to a lack of appropriate signage for some VA facilities, in some cases making them harder to find.
In his letter to Dir. Halikowski, Senator Flake states that “… the responsibility to determine rules and regulations for roadway signage lies squarely with the Arizona state government. That said, we all share the responsibility of ensuring veterans have access to the services offered.”
