Mesa, Arizona – United States Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), issued the following statement regarding today’s scheduled votes on the CR:

“I will miss the vote on the continuing resolution (CR) due to my son’s wedding in Arizona. Had I been in Washington, I would have been a ‘no’ vote on cloture, Senator Reid’s amendment to strip from the bill the language to defund Obamacare, waiving the budget point of order, and on final passage of the bill.
 
"When the only vote on amendments is on Harry Reid's amendment to protect Obamacare, and no other amendments to address excessive federal spending or other concerns are considered, I am left with no other option but to oppose,” said Flake.
