Washington, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) today highlighted the following egregious waste of taxpayer dollars by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in Fiscal Year 2015:
$84,000 to restore two stone monuments marking the entrance of a one-block, historic subdivision of Lawrence, Kansas.
“Block by block, FHWA has built itself into a pillar of wasteful spending,” said Flake.
