Flake Statement Applauding SCOTUS Decision Halting President’s Executive Action on Immigration

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) today issued the following statement regarding the Supreme Court’s reaffirmation of a federal court’s decision blocking President Barack Obama’s executive action to provide relief to those who are in the United States illegally.
“I welcome the Supreme Court’s reaffirmation that there are limits on executive authority and that the president overreached when he attempted to unilaterally rewrite immigration laws. The immigration problem needs to be solved, but this problem needs to be solved by Congress through the legislative process.”
