Washington, D.C. – United States Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), today released the following statement on Senate Democrats’ vote to allow only for only a simple majority (51 votes) instead of a 3/5 majority (60 votes) to approve executive branch nominees and judicial nominees, with the exception of Supreme Court nominees:
“It’s a sad day in the Senate when Democrats are willing to ignore 225 years of precedent to distract attention away from the failures of Obamacare,” said Flake.
